Strange statements
Okay so David thinks it is really fun to go into the bathroom and make statements....strange statements. The other day I am going past and I hear... wow I have never seen it that color before! Other favorites are "huh thats funny, I don't remember eating that." Or one time I heard him congratulating himself on a job well done. He also likes to say "now how did that get in there. I am not sure if these are camp pranks or what but the day he made loud grunting noises and dropped a cantelope in the toliet with a loud sigh of relief was the day he wasn't aloud to use the upstairs toilet anymore. So do your children play these kinds of jokes on you?

Sunday we went to church and for a hike to "Fat mans Crack" I don't know what the official name is. Then we went to the visitor center and saw a great art exhibit of sculptings. We also watched the JS movie. Monday we went swimming at the condo's we were staying in and then home. Great time! We really missed Chris and Kristy though. In fact several times Curt and I would say how we wished they were with us. Happy memorial day all.
Amy...first one in after 2 years of waiting,
Saturday we had a great day a the lake. We had this patch of blue sky that just stuck with us all day long. Our friends were on the lake further down and and they got rained out. We were blessed.

post buffet
After the bowling we went to an all you can eat buffet. Andrew really was enjoying this and was eating as fast as he could because he wanted to be able to eat a lot. He was very impressed with Curts abilities in eating! After we were all a bit full. The pictures speak a thousand words. They show how we felt after the buffet.
Bowling
So the wind was a bit stiff so we decided to get back in the navigator and go to Mesquite and bowl. It was going great until Curt triped and stepped past the foul line and discovered that the lanes are very slippery. He ended up on his back in the middle of the lane but managed to bowl a spare. We laughed so hard. He even had strangers coming up to him later congratulating him on his moves. Sorry no pic of the fall. But the mental image will remain forever etched in all our minds!
Lake Mead
We almost didn't go because of the weather forcast, however with much persuasion by our kids we were off. Andrew...Amys latest joined us again for a long drive in the navigator...he must really like her to put up with that again. We arrived on friday around 12 and it was too windy. We went to the dock to check it out just in case there was a chance.

Life as a nurse
Okay, I don't know if any of you really care but if your looking at this blog you must understand me already. So here I go. As many of you know I am in training to be a home health nurse. I found myself getting really excited today when I was able to stick a guy and draw his blood on my first try. I know this seems weird but I have been stressing about it. The great thing about it is that my mentor was with me and the guy I stuck was very hard of hearing and his wife was completely deaf so my mentor could stand behind him as I was drawing his blood and give me little hints without him ever realizing that this was my first blood draw. Life is sweet isn't it? I have been able to do all kinds of medical things that are soooo cool. I know you guys think it is sick but I am really learning a ton. Okay so funniest - strangest medical thing I did this week...a dressing change on a scrotum. Yes you read that right. Life just cracks me up! Now go and have a nice day!
