Davids Papers go in

Its time to guess! David's mission papers go in on Sunday and you all have the chance to guess where he is going. You might want to keep in mind that his mother is praying he will be sent stateside and his uncle (the mission Pres. wants him to come to his mission. D.C.) It was kind of funny that his Dr. put on the comments of his physical, Tall, Thin. I think that about says it all. We should know where he is going in about 1 1/2 weeks so get your guesses in! Go David!

Winds of Change

Wow I haven't updated this for a long time so here you go. Christmas was great with Hunts here! I was really not looking forward to this Christmas because it was Kristy and Chris and Amy and Chaces year to be with the other side. When we got the news that Hunts would be spending the Christmas holidays with us I was so glad. Having them here made me love it! After they left I got really lonely and very busy. I decided that we had a few rooms that needed a make over. Now that I have 2 married daughters and a son who will be turning in his papers in a couple of weeks I decided to make official guest rooms. We have purchaced new beds and have been painting and decorating. We will soon be finished with what I call the upstairs garden room even though the walls no longer have the flowers on them. And Davids room now has a queen bed in it but it is still the BYU room. So when you come to visit you will have your choice of theme rooms to stay in. I have sold some things on KSL.com and Curt has been quite amazed. Because of my work schedule he has done the majority of the work painting but I did get a work out moving my bedroom furniture out to the garage. Yes I am finally going to decorate my room and get new furniture. It is amazing what you can get done when you don't have a wedding. I have plans for the downstairs family room as well. Soon we will be able to have more usable living space and guest space! I love it when you all come and stay so I am trying to make it more comfortable for you! I think we will be putting some of this on hold soon however as David will be needing some things for his mission. Stay posted for that news. He will be putting in his papers the end of the month with availability May 1st. I wish this wonderful experience wasn't so hard on me! Kristy is coming to visit the first week of Feb and we are hoping David will get his call when she is here. Well thats all. Now you all need to get your updates going!

Vampire girl

Okay so I think some of the greatest insights come from some of my home health patients I just love them. I thought I would share with you one of the greatest. Earlier this week I went to see a patient that I hadn't seen before. She was this cute tiny little old lady living in her home alone. When I came to the door she had some trash that she wanted me to take out first...which I gladly did. She was ever so grateful. Then through the whole visit she kept telling me how beautiful and kind I was etc. I was really feeling good about myself and this job. After a nice visit and some wound care I was leaving and she said. Oh and honey, don't let them cut your hair like that. I was really confused, I didn't know if she suddenly started hallucinating and was seeing something I wasn't or what. So I asked her what she meant. Oh you know the part down by your neck. It makes you look like a vampire. no kidding. I smiled and said I wouldnt and left laughing my guts out. So I can either take this as a compliment after reading the twilight series who wouldn't right? Or just enjoy the good laugh. However if I ever go to see her again I am definately taking the fangs!
Have a good laugh on me!

What we've been up to lately

I thought I would take this opportunity to brag about my daughter Breann. She decided to tryout for the highschool swim team and made it. I know this is a bad picture but she is getting ready to dive in on the farthest block. She has improved her time on the 50 freestyle by 20 seconds. I love going to the meets. It is challenging getting people to cover my shifts but I love watching this girl go! Yea Breann!
The other thing we have been heavily envolved in is a production our stake did called From Comorahs hill. Alyssa was a dancer. She is in the gold skirt on the right of the picture. She was the smallest dancer and did such a great job!

Breann has a long speaking part and she is the funniest actress. Again just a blast to watch!
I am so proud of these two girls they may be all we have at home but they keep us hopping!

Halloween costumes

The winners of the Halloween contest. Richard Simmons and his groupy ( Rob and Linda) The runners up. KISSES and HUGS!

Curt and I had a great time developing our costumes. We have a fun halloween party that we go to every year and we have yet to win the contest. This year Curt was a hug and I was a kiss.

We took 2nd. Any ideas for next year? I really want to win this. It looks like the funny ones are winning not the cute ones.

Fun times in the Rockies with Chris and Kristy

I thought I would update you all on a great weekend we had in the colorado Mountains with Chris and Kristy. We had such a blast. We did everything from finding great deals at the outlets to eating at some awesome restaurants to repelling hiking and bike riding! So much fun! Curt and I really needed the break and wow did we get a fun one. For any of you looking for a great place to go that is a great place. We didn't have time to do everything there is to do there but a lot that I want to do again. On our drive home today Alyssa was looking at the mountains picking out great places to repell. She is hooked....I hate to admit it but so was I. We are all hooked! Thanks again Kristy and Chris for a great time!

Colorado fun!

Our morning of Repelling with Chris and Kristy was great fun. Chris went down first to check everything out. After Kristy went down to hold the rope and give instruction from the bottom while Chris hiked back up for instruction at the top.
Alyssa was really excited to go and Chris was a great teacher! She loved it!
Our fearless leaders at the top of the cliff! Chris and Kristy
Curt followed Kristy down the mountain. She was at the bottom avoiding his rock slide
Breann listening closely to Chris's instructions. She did it!
Yes even I went down (twice)! I loved it!

Trip to Colorado With Chris and Kristy

The four of us had a great bike ride together! We didn't even have to call the paramedics to get us back to the condo. I was a bit worried after a hike and repelling but Chris was good to us and took us on an easy ride! Thanks Chris!
Breann loved being with her sister again!
Our hike took us up to the snow! Notice that Alyssa was having a hard time with the high altitude.
Repelling was awesome. Chris and Alyssa found this great little cliff. This is Curt making his way down.

The wedding is over

wow so the wedding is over and life is getting back to normal. However it just doesn't slow down. We are now in the middle of a production that the kids are in at church called From Cumorah's hill. They have multiple rehersals in a week. Breann made the swim team so she is busy swimming daily. Life just doesn't slow down does it. We are looking forward to going to Colorado to visit Kristy and Chris at his parents condo in Keystone. It is really beautiful there and we can hardly wait! So Julie tagged me and I am supposed to come up with 100 facts about myself. I will do that as soon as I get a chance.
Thanks to all who came to support amy and chace. I thought the wedding was great and it was soooo fun to see you all.

small, quick update

Okay so I haven't updated my blog for a long time. We are coming to the end of the wedding preparations and the check book. Life is good and I am so excited to see all of you again. Just so you all know amy is registered at Bed bath and beyond. I don't like to put that info in the invitation but some of you have asked so I thought I would just let everyone know. We are looking forward to a great day and a fun weekend with everyone who will stick around. Let me know what your plans are. I will try to get some ideas of fun things to do. Of course I may just lay on my couch and recover but so far I am feeling great!
Thanks for all your love and support!
