Time with Amy

Amy came in town this past couple of weeks. It was so great to go shopping and out to lunch and attend 3 baby showers and sew with her. Watching and feeling her little angel move inside her is amazing. I am so excited to share this time with her! She is so excited to become a mom! I have no doubt that she and Chace will be awesome parents. It brought back so many memories of my own pregnancies. (Especially the time when you got light headed and you needed food right then.) Honestly I loved every stage of parenthood but this grandma thing is beginning to grow on me. I am learning many new skills such as crocheting the edges around receiving blankets and my latest is an attempt at making the blessing outfit. Chace joined us later and we were able to take him to the lake. He decided to make up for a whole summer of not skiing in one day. I think he is very sore:) Thank you Amy and Chace for including me in your experiences of pregnancy and Parenthood! I love you.

Summer fun

So I thought I would write about some of the latest great times our family has had. My nephew Steve got married this summer to a great girl named Meri and we were able to attend in Denver and share in that wonderful time! I loved spending fun time with my family. It is such a great blessing to have a big extended family that loves being together and is such a great support.

The next weekend we drove to California and spent a week on the beach with the Willardson side. I loved playing with my neices and nephews and great neices and nephews. I got to hold lots of babies and I am getting ready for Amy to have hers. Alyssa was able to get her patriachal blessing from grandpa the last part of the vacation in San Diego. It was a beautiful blessing. Then we were able to celebrate with Ann and Dan and their wedding.

Now things are getting back to normal if you can call work and sewing all kinds of suprises for Amy normal. She comes for a visit on the 24th of Aug and I can hardly wait!

I am feeling blessed.

Lake Powell July 2010

We had a great time at lake powell this year. The houseboat was awesome and it was so great to get to know my nieces and nephew better. Traina's came as well as Grandma and Grandpa Willardson and Hunts and our friends the Casaday's. Also Alyssa's adopted sister Ariana came. It was so great. We had fun tubing, skiing, wake boarding, surfing, Water weenying, sliding down the slide, cliff jumping, reading, playing games, eating, playing in the kayaks and on the beach during the daytime hours. Our nights were filled with movies and an amazing disco night (thank you Kelly) I will try to post a slide show of the week if Breann can help me make it. If not just know that this was tons of fun! So a bit of trivia I learned while on the houseboat. Karli can wakeboard with her cowboy hat on. Kelly Casaday can fit inside a cooler, A hawaiian hat can be used as a flag if your boat flag should come up missing, and watch out for grandma and grandpa they have been known to steal luggage. Some funny things that happened include: We filled up the waste tank and had to take the boat in to be dumped. Women and children were left on the beach thinking it would be about 2 hours and they could all go tubing. After 1 hour out tubing I noticed that the ski boat was running out of gas and had to stop. The two hours was actually 4 and we had to be rescued as we were starving and hot. Another amazing thing that you would not believe is that during a fun wind storm we all jumped in the water and played in the waves even grandma and grandpa! wahoo! Tyler Hunt holds the record of who can hold the tv remotes the longest. And kelly Casaday wins for bringing the most unusual outfits as well as top of the boat entertainment. (except that one movie). Thanks to all that came and made the week so fun!

This weekend I flew to Virginia for a little Amy and Chace time. It was great. Amy is just starting to show...at 16 weeks and needed some maternity clothes. So it was time to shop! We had great success the first day and found a ton of cute clothes. She is really glad to be comfortable:) We had a great birthday dinner at a really wonderful restaurant that they chose. We were able to eat outside and enjoy the great weather. Chace is studying for his CPA so Saturday we were off again to get mani and pedi's and more shopping. Amy was able to find some really cute home decor for her apartment. Thanks Chace for being such a good sport. She chose some really great things and it was so fun. We met up with Katie and Bryce and Tyson that night for a great time. It was so fun to see their apartment and them again. I am so glad they are so close. Fun times. I had to come home this morning which was sad but I really needed some Jones time. Thanks for a wonderful weekend. It is so nice to feel needed and appreciated. I love you guys!

Well we were going to buy a car but then we changed our minds. Look out! Yes Curt and I bought a share of this house boat. We took it on a maiden voyage last week with some great friends and Scott and Val...they bought it with us. It was awesome! I am so excited to take everyone on our little piece of heaven!

Funny Story of the year

So funny story of the year. Breann walks into the bathroom at school and sits down in the stall. She hears a voice next to her say "Hello". So not wanting to be rude she replies, "Oh, hello" The voice then says, "How are you today?'"She says Oh pretty good can't complain" then the voice says "Oh thats good so what are you up to?" Then Breann said "Uh well just going to the bathroom..." To that the voice replied. "Um I am going to have to let you go the girl in the next stall thinks I am talking to her." At this point Breann pulls her feet up and hopes she is never recognized.

So this is the delema, does one pee when talking to someone in the bathroom? What do you think?

The south beach diet

Okay so here is a little update as to what has been happening. Curt and I were inspired by Lori O to go on the South beach diet. The first two weeks were aweful! Yes Lori I was cursing your name. But now we have moved on to phase two and well we feel human again. At this point Curt has lost about 11 lbs. I have lost 9. So I am really feeling good about things. My pants actually fit again and the dreaded muffin top is beginning to diminish! The kids laugh as we eat whole wheat soft shelled tacos but I get to laugh when I get on the scale.
The other thing we have done is sold all our bedroom furniture even the twin beds we have been using for the past couple of months...I fondly call our room the ghetto room. Curt is painting it and we are sleeping in the guest room...which by the way is quite nice. We will soon be getting our new bedroom furniture and we will graduate from the ghetto! I am really excited.
We have had some awesome vacations this summer. I will post some pictures of the latest one to bear lake! It was great fun! I want to go back! Now I get to take Alyssa for shots to go to Jr. High and get her registered. She is sooo excited. Life just can't get any better don't you think?
