We had a great time in California for thanksgiving this past weekend. The Oakes lent us their home while they went to Northern California. Other than their dog stealing my sports bra’s and socks all was wonderful there. We had fun playing with the younger cousins and cooking up a storm! The dinner was great and watching homemade videos from family members was hilarious! Our family decided to go to the beach. We had a great time eating and playing together down there. Our girls have decided vacationing with their parents is fun.
This is a blog about a family that started with two people who love each other!

mid life crisis or love of learning
Okay so I was thinking today seriously about taking a spanish class. I have thought about this off and on a lot in my life. And even though I sometimes think there is no way I can fit anymore into my life I really want to learn this language. So I am thinking Community Ed. Curt talked to a client of his that just returned with his wife from being a temple president in Chille. He told him that me (his beautiful wife) wants to learn spanish and asked him the best way to do this. He suggested 3 Community ed classes then conversational spanish class then go and speak it. He said living somewhere for a month and I would have it. So I can't do the month thing but I want input on the whole take the community ed class idea. What do you all think? K just thought I would through that out there.

Observation of a grandma
Ok so I thought I would write a funny observation that I had upon returning home. One of the greatest things about being a grandma is feeling needed and wanted. I would gladly stay up for hours with that little baby grandson of mine but the best part is watching my daughter and son in law come out in the morning looking like they had slept. And hearing them say over and over again how much they appreciated the help!
Weird I know but just a funny observation.

Funny Cayden
So I thought I would tell a story that all new moms have experienced in one form or another. Amy was changing Cayden when like all little baby boys he began to pee all over. Curt went running for a paper towel however, he was just a little slow as Cayden promptly decided now was a good time to poop with power. So he did. It shot all over Amy's cute pink bathrobe. She looked down and said, "Are you serious? Hurry dad hurry" He came running and all I could do was sit and laugh! I love baby boys! Curt took him after he was all cleaned up...which by the way required a bath. While he was holding him he Curt gets this funny look on his face and says..."I think he just peed" We asked how he knew and he said a warm feeling just came over him. Upon inspection we find that Cayden had found a way to pee on his grandpa with his diaper on. Go Cayden. All this happened in 1/2 hours time. He is a funny little boy.
Cayden has also discovered a binky with a passion. Curt would pull it out of his mouth off and on. Now when Curt is holding him...or any other time he feels he might loose it he holds his binky in with his hand. Remember he is only 1 week old.
I have been home about 2 hours and I can't stop smiling when I think about this wonderful little boy. Such a great week! Thanks again Amy and Chace for inviting us in during such a special time.

Going Private
I have decided to follow the trend and protect my loved ones. My blog is now going private. If I have missed anyone in getting them an invite to view it let me know. But I guess it is time.
